David Cook rocks it hard

What a great performance from David Cook. I agree with the judges that if he keeps it up he could be a real contender . Who would have thought so a few weeks ago? Billie Jean - very creative.

But oh my dear Ramiele - what a tough night for you babe. I actually would love to see her stay, but it will be tough after tonight's performance. She couldn't stay on pitch to save her life. Not a good night for Carly either and thus probably a repeat for her in the bottom three.

As for Kristy Lee, she may have pulled herself out of the crosshairs for a week with her patriotic bit. It was a good performance and she actually does have a strong voice. Better song choices could actually keep her in the game longer.

So who else does that leave in the bottom three...? Chikezie?

What say you?

  1. Last night opened with Ryan looking like a Cupie Doll with his hair up in the front, Randy wearing a bowling shirt and medalian, Simon with a dangerously low neckline, and Paula......

Okay, Paula looked like she was going to a kids' dance show performance, complete with the sparkly gold leotard and the long gloves. In fact, one of my daughters has a red outfit just like that, all sparkly and high on the neck and all. Last year's Fiesta. And, yes, I loved the bracelets OVER the gloves! Oh, and the fingers actually stick out of the gloves. I must get some of those.

Dear Ramiele, are we ever going to see your right eye without hair covering it? And, please tell me, why do you wear your pants so high? Or, shorts, this week. Yes, a little off-key....... you seem to have lost confidence.

Jason, did you really say that should have practiced more? Hmmmm.... I'm not loving that comment, but still like you. And, I love Sting.

Syesha, Syesha, you are really screwing up my picks. You were pretty darn good this week, darn it. You DO have a big voice, after all.

Chikeze, were those bird droppings on your blazer? Really, I like you, but didn't love it tonight.

Brooke, aaaah, I was worried when you started over. You are great. You are sweet. It was good, not the best, but I hope you stay.

MYchael....... what's up with the vest and t-shirt? I don't care, you are still so easy on the eyes.
I loved your song and your singing tonight. You were great.

Carly, my dear. You might be messing up my picks, too. I am not loving it. I actually liked your song and what you did with it. But, you are lacking a little spark. I still like you......

Baby David, I liked it, but would have like it better, I think, if I had recognized the song. .......You CAN sing.

Kristy Lee, oh darn, I guess all the Americans will vote for you. It actually was pretty good. You are just so cute, too.

And, real deal David Cook. I loved your baby pictures. You are amazing. I think I'm now enjoying your performances as much as Chris Daughtry's, if not more. Good job. I love the slight humility and the AWESOME voice. I'm a fan.

  3. Annie - you have the best blog comments. :-)

All I need to say is that David Cook stole the show. I had to rewind my DVR to listen to it again. After hearing his version of Billie Jean, I can beleive that she really wasn't his lover. I want to buy that version of the song (and a copy of his version of Hello.) He's the one I now look forward to watching each week. All I can say is that if he makes it to the finale, I feel sorry for who he is going up against.

I do predict that my game 1 picks are now in jeopardy. Carly, you're killing me. You can sing, no question about it, but I'm losing what I loved about you.

David Archuletta, I love your voice but I don't know what that song was. I think his dad may have picked that one for him based on his reaction afterwards. You need to step it up. You're not going anywhere but will you make it to the top.

Jason is definitely very relaxed, almost too relaxed, but he's not going anywhere yet. He has a fan base.

Michael rocked it as well. He needed that one. Any Annie, he is very easy on the eyes. Love him!!

Syesha was my favorite of the ladies. Her voice sounded amazing. She could be a contender as well.

Brooke doesn't have the "Wow" factore for me. I liked her performance and was a little nervous for her when she started over but she recovered well.

Dear Sweet Ramiele - I'm worried for you. You haven't connected with a song yet for me. She must have a fan base out there voting for her since she hasn't been in the bottom three. I think this is her week in the bottom though. I don't think she is going home yet.

My man Chikezie, what is up with all lady love claps. You have to pick something othe than Luther. Please. Rueben was able to pull it off so well. I think it may be your time to go.

  5. 40th place.
    4 - 0.

I can't believe how much I am sucking at this game this season.

    40th place.

    I underestimated Ramiele's fan base.

I better get some picks right. I have to get in the top 1/2 by next week.
